radiy Participates in “Energy in Industry 2024” Exhibition
18.10.2024Since 2023, ArcelorMittal has been actively modernizing its outdoor lighting systems at railway stations. To date, 136 advanced radiyLED floodlights have been installed across 29 towers, with work still ongoing.
The project is part of ArcelorMittal's Reconstruction Program for Outdoor Lighting aimed at improving working conditions for its Transportation Department. Outdated discharge lamps are gradually being replaced with modern, energy-efficient LED floodlights manufactured by radiy. These luminaires not only provide significantly brighter lighting with the same energy consumption but also offer a much longer service life, substantially reducing maintenance costs. This improvement has greatly enhanced workplace safety and the overall efficiency of railway infrastructure.
According to employees, before the modernization, the old floodlights emitted only a faint glow, leaving the tracks in near darkness. Now, thanks to the new radiyLED floodlights, the stations are so brightly illuminated that tracks appear as if it were daylight. This upgrade has greatly eased the work of locomotive crews, car inspectors, receivers, loaders, and other night-shift personnel.
Additionally, the modernization has resulted in a noticeable reduction in electricity consumption—an especially critical improvement during the ongoing energy crisis.
radiyLED lighting represents not only a step forward in energy efficiency but also a significant contribution to creating safe and comfortable working conditions for railway personnel.
